Happy Star Wars day and that eternally geeky thing of May the 4th be with you! (meaning May The Force Be With You).
Yeah I know, it’s groan-worthy and way too cheesy, maybe even too cheesy for me and cheese humour is my kinda level of geeky.
One of the messages I’ve always liked from Star Wars was this:
I always take this to mean, don’t try .. if you’re going to do something then do it. Do the action it takes to get it done. Try to me is almost half hearted, oh I’ll try to do that but lacks the commitment of doing. I’ve been there, I used to say ‘oh I’ll try’ and if I catch myself doing it now, then I figure out why. Because try, with no action means there’s a block to achieving it. I’ve learned that saying no is better is better than half committing to it with an I’ll try.
