A clean symbolic brand for an artist and maker.
Liz is a fellow maker and artist, and was a joy to work with. She wanted a geometric abstract representation of a marigold that could be used as a symbol on its own as well as with text. We turn this into a full brand logo suite with different layouts, components and font options.
She’ll be able to use these for business cards, wax stamps, rubber stamps and more in her little arist and maker business.
This was a branding only project.

I drafted two concepts and presented them, she immediately gravitated to my favourite style of clean geometric symbol which can easily be used in a myriad of ways. It’s a subtle detail to notice, the symbol has three sizes; the difference is the spacing between the stamens and the petals between each of them. It means that if the logo is being used in a super small space (like a wax stamp shown above) that the details are sized appropriately so that they don’t lose definition. It’s a small thing to notice but it makes a big difference when it come to having a brand that works at any size.
